High speed cutting of glasses and transparent materials

Beam shaping allows precise spatial optimization of the laser energy deposited on the material to be machined. All the energy contained in the laser pulse is exploited. This allows better management of the time and quality of laser treatment.
We have developed several types of beams: Bessel beam (from 100µm to 10mm), elliptical Bessel beam and other beam shaping.

Performance:

  • Cutting speed up to 1m / s
  • Machining tolerance at 0.001 mm
  • Vertical cutting edges (90 ° +/- 1 °)
  • Depth adjusting for the ablation of the multilayers

 

High quality laser cutting:

  • Glass cutting (thickness 50 µm – 2 mm), possibility up to 10 mm in a single laser pass.
  • Free thermal effects cutting
  • No chipping
  • No deterioration of mechanical properties after machining
  • Roughness < 200 nm

 

Materials:

  • Glasses, Crystals, Polymers, Ceramics or any other materials transparent to the laser wavelength

 

Applications :

  • Cutting of watches dials, glasses glass and screens from 30µm to 10mm
  • Marking and machining with nanometric precision
  • Glass cutting for the building industry
  • Marking in depth (up to 10mm) in one pass

  • Realization of nano and micrometric wells
  • Machining of microfluidic channels with high aspect ratio
  • Realization of filtration membranes
