Oscillator-IMP is the time-frequency metrology platform of the FEMTO-ST institute. It has all the equipment required for the study and characterization of systems in the radio-frequency, microwave and optical domains, with time references traced on the International System via a hydrogen MASER.
FEMTO Engineering offers manufacturers an access to this platform and provides services of characterization, electronic design and engineering of measurement benches. The team ensures the interface between the technical needs of customers and the platform’s capabilities, from the definition of specifications to the delivery of measurement results and developed systems.

FEMTO Engineering takes care of the entire measurement and development process: definition of the protocol, production, analysis of the results and delivery of the report.
Your teams have direct access to the platform’s equipment, with technical support from FEMTO Engineering for the handling and monitoring.
Some platform devices can be rented and set up in your own facilities for on-site measurements.

Phase noise measurements, short-term frequency stability, electronic noise, Faraday cage measurements. Referenced on MASER with traceable hydrogen SI.
Characterization of active and passive components up to 40 GHz and beyond: amplifiers, oscillators, filters, electromagnetic compatibility.
PCB (Kicad, Eagle), Xilinx FPGA (Vivado), Linux embedded on ARM (Buildroot). Design of analog and digital electronic boards adapted to the time-frequency applications.
Design and manufacture of measurement benches dedicated to the client’s applications, expertise and advice for the optimization of existing measurement architectures.
Software development in Python, C, Qt/C++, PyQt, Visual Basic and Labview for automation of measurements and human-machine interfaces.
